Artist Statement
I’ve been an artist my whole life but I recently fell in love with fiber arts. I make colorful handwoven tapestries and other fiber arts as a way to connect with all the men and women before me who have enjoyed this ancient craft.
I particularly like incorporating reclaimed clothing or sentimental clothing that is damaged into my work. This helps give the piece a more meaningful and personal connection to me. As of late, I have enjoyed using old sarees in my work as well as making my own looms out of thrifted frames.
I graduated from USC in 2014 with a BA in Studio Art. Creating has always been my way of calming my mind and finding presence in the moment, a meditative practice that continues to shape my work today. Through each piece, I hope to create space for reflection, inviting others to pause, feel, and connect with their own memories and emotions through the quiet power of color and form.

When I'm not creating, you can find me doing volunteer work with a few local non-profits or enjoying life and traveling with my partner and our 4 animals. I am also pursuing a Master’s Degree in Anthropology currently.
